Name: Mavra
Herd/Band: Cimarron
Gender: Female
Age: 5
Position: Herd member
Owner: N/A
Physical Description: Mavra is a small horse with a compact build, but despite that she can hold her own in a fight. She has powerful leg muscles designed for running. Her coat is mainly a deep shade of black, but she has a snip on her nose, a white spot on her belly, and four white socks that are higher in front than they are in back. By most standards, she is a pretty mare, with a fine Spanish head, and natural high tail carriage that points to possible Arabian ancestry.
Personality: Withdrawn and quiet, Mavra isn't exactly the most sociable horse in the Cimarron herd. She often stays a few yards away from the other horses, and spends most of her time in isolation. She doesn't talk much, and when she does she has a habit of looking down and away, stuttering and saying as little as possible. It's not that she's awkward; she merely is antisocial. One would wonder why she hasn't broken off from the herd and wandered the lands as a rogue...the truth is, although she has a tough outer shell, Mavra is in love with the Cimarron lands and the horses that call it home. She appreciates the general kindness she's been given, even if she doesn't do much to give back. Who knows, maybe with time she'll open up...Often when she's alone, her thoughts are filled with grief and regret. She can't forgive herself, and thus she has a hard time forgiving others. This mare is one who can harbour a grudge for years, and she's still very bitter about things that have happened in her past.
History: Mavra was born to a relatively small herd of mustangs, but her mother died shortly after childbirth, and her father, the lead stallion, did little to show that he cared. The winter when she was two years old, she was seperated from the herd in a blizzard, but she was found by another wandering group of horses. She stayed with them, grateful for the company, but she had a tough time fitting in with the other fillies her age. The summer of her fourth year, her herd clashed with the Tomahawk Band, and, well, the Tomahawks won. Mavra ran off during the fray instead of helping defend her herdmates. She wandered alone for a few days, until she came across the Tomahawks again, and this time she joined them. What else was there to do? Traveling with the violent band for almost a year caused her to grow even more bitter and hateful, but there was one morning when they came across a young colt, orphaned like she was, freezing to death in the cold of winter. The band passed on without a care, but it stirred something in Mavra's heart. That night she ran off until she stumbled into Cimarron territory, and they let her in.
The thing is, though, no one just walks away from the Tomahawk band. Mavra lives in constant fear that Demon or one of the other band members will one day find her, and that they won't show any mercy...
