Physical Description:
With his short, compact build, and well-developed muscles made for speed and agility, Garridan's looks show off the amalgamation that makes up the Mustang breed. He has a tobiano coat, with black splashes on his chest and his right hindquarters. Most of his right flank is also covered in a large field of ebony, and so is the area around his ears. His eyes are both blue, and his left one is surrounded by a small patch of black, giving him a comical, crazed appearance. Because the mane and tail color of a paint horse is determined by the skin under it, Garridan's mane is mostly silvery white, but his forelock is ebony, and there is also a black streak in his mane at the top of his neck.
Personality: Easy-going and happy-go-lucky, Garridan doesn't let anything or anyone bother him for very long. He's easy to get along with, and likes joking around with other horses--in his definition of the word, 'joking around' includes mockery, though, so he's bound to annoy horses with a more uptight personality. He doesn't mind when people are angry with him though; he'll just laugh it off. He'll do anything to avoid a fight if he can, resorting to running away if he has to, but when he's cornered or if one of his friends is being constantly harrassed, he'll fight viciously. Garridan has a lazy streak, and he's not above using deceit or trickery to get what he wants easily. He'll flirt with just about any pretty mare he encounters, even if it has earned him more than a few kicks. Despite his loose personality, Garridan is very loyal to those he cares about, and he would never betray or double-cross them...unless he was bribed and the reward was something extremely important.
History(optional): Born to a pair of wondering rogues, Garridan has been a traveler all his life. His parents passed on their restlessness to him, thus the family of horses would never settle in one place for very long. As he was reaching adulthood one day, they decided to intrude on Darksun territory. It was a bad idea. Alasdi and Garridan's father, Yoska, got into a fight, and, well, Yoska lost. His mother Nadya--who was pregnant at the time--ran off. He hasn't seen her since. Alasdi allowed Garridan to live as a captive in the Darksun herd in hopes that he would become a loyal member, but Garridan sweet-talked the mare in charge of guarding him into letting him free. Faced the choice of either traveling alone or forming a band, Garridan chose the latter option and founded Los Viajeros, preferring the company of others over solitude.
