Personality: Duke is born for the desert. An agilic runner that has almost always evaded captivity, until now. His anger burns for humans. He has a passion of hate that can't be gotten rid of. Duke has no known family except for a long lost son. Duke is actually kind hearted but doesn't show it to everyone. It takes a lot for him to show his kindness because it takes a kind, patient heart to help him show it but it is there.
History(optional): Duke was born to an evil family full of hate, which is where his hatred inside him comes from. He tries his best to control it and does a lot better than his family did. Duke was born a few moments after his older brother, Demon. Because he was younger, Duke was picked on by brother, as well as his father and mother. He found no comfort no where. Then he met a beautiful, ebony filly and the two became fast friends. Demon was jealous of Dukes' relationship and tried to kill Star Dancer, but Duke intervined and broke his brothers leg. Demon was outraged and his parents were furious. Duke ran off with Star Dancer and they grew up together, their love growing stronger.
At the age of 5, Duke tried to start his own herd but his mate, Star Dancer, was killed by a mountain lion. His son, Lightning, got lost in the scramble and has not been seen. Duke, when he realized his mate was gone forever, ran after his son but was cut off by a group of humans before he could reach him. The men captured him after running him into the plains, into unfamilar territory. They caught him and he unwilling was put into thier stables. Duke blames his sons loss on the humans and hates them today. He has not been able to be ridden yet.
Other(optional): Duke is a dreamer and a thinker....all he wants is for life to be the way it was with Star Dancer....all he wants is peace inside himself.
