Confused...

Hello!
I stumbled upon this site while looking for another, and in all honesty I am confused as all heck! Im an avid roleplayer in yahoo groups, and in another proboards site, and I have never been so stumped. There are so many rules and areas and...I just don't even know where to start. I read through the rules but I still don't get it. Maybe this kind of RPing isn't for me...or maybe someone could just iron things out a little.

For a brief introduction, I'm Nomad, one of the members around here.
That's some awesome art and writing you got on your DeviantArt profile! It looks great! Keep up the good work - you've got talent. (I especially like the "I've Got a thing for you" artwork)

So, I understand you're having a little trouble adjusting to the site. Don't worry, I had the exact same problem when I started RPing, myself xD (Not to mention, I even got a little stuck on the password to the pending board -.- ) But, anyways, I know you'll enjoy your stay here.

Okay, for starters, there are the rules. What are they for? Well, to obey and abide to, of course. They help you adjust to the correct etiquette. So be sure to read them, but not necesserily understand all of them. Yet. Why not? Well, for all newcomers to this site, there are a few concepts unique to this site which have their own rules, and so only after roleplaying a little with us will you truly understand them.

Now, just as importantly, there's the part which, after you've read the rules, you need to do before you can role-play - create a character. How do you do this? Well, first off, you need to get to the the Pending sub-forum, which is in the Character Creation section in the homepage. But, unfortunately, it's locked, and needs a password in order to enter. Where do you get the password?

Go back to the rules, and read closely. You should come across a part (Hint - near the bottom ;D) which, after some special attention, will give you the password. (If you struggle with this, don't worry - I'll help you. Simply send a PM to me, and Ill try to help you to the best of my ability)

After you've got the password, enter it in at the Pending subforum and, if its correct, it should take you to the Pending subforum. Okay. Now what?
Well, now it's time to create your character!
But, hold on - you need to get the bio form, which is a template on which you create your character. Where is the bio form? It should be in the Pending subforum in a thread called "The Form" near the top.

Open the thread. Copy the form (Ctrl + C), but be sure to read the entire thread first, else you may not understand it.
Okay, then go back one step to the Pending subforum.
Create a new thread with the title being the name of your character (E.g: If you want your character's name to be Bob, then the thread name should be Bob - it makes things easier that way.)

Now, paste the bio form onto your new thread (Ctrl + P).
Okay, now its time to write out the details of your character using the form. Remember to fill in the correct details in the correct places (Such as the name, herd, age e.t.c).
Remember: The personality and physical description must be at least a paragraph long. Also, the history of your character is optional - it doesn't have to be written.
Once you've completely filled out the form, then you can post your new thread. Now, you must wait for a staff member to come accept your character's bio.

If you did perhaps make an error, then no worries! Simply edit your thread and correct it, then wait for the staff member to re-check it.

Once your character is accepted, then you are allowed to role-play with him or her!
Where can you role-play? In the "RP Area" listed on the homepage of the forum. You are allowed to role-play in any of the three primary role-playing territories.
