The mare cantered through the lands. She could smell the humans, yes. She minded much? No. She was wild at heart. Like many, though loyal. Being a rogue mare put her in more danger than ever. After all, she was alone, no one to help protect her, but, she didn't mind. She was strong, and very very swift a foot, with great agility.
Her dun coat blended well with the dirt that clouded around her feet, The only thing really giving her away, was the bright flashy gleam, and the black stocking, that were knee high, with tan hooves. Her mane and tail was as well darker than the midnight sky. The fire in her eyes proved how wild she was. She was here really to cause chaos. She was starting her own band of about 3 others. Yes. Something small. But, the most she'd go to was 5 others. Her band's name? End to Cause.
In other words meaning you have to end one thing to cause another thing, But, that was the simple way. It would also keep gangs of horses off of her at one time. So. End to Cause. And she was about to cause something here.
She could hear the sounds of neighs that came through the large wooden pen. It was square and very large. The sound of rythmitic hooves sounded as well as people shouting, and horses, mustangs, being tamed? She snorted, then a bell rang out. "Mustang!" Someone yelled. Valkyrie reared, neighed and dashed off, ears flat. No, not as fast as she could. Who would, this was all fun and games to her. Then, she heard the large, heavy, wooden doors open, and the sound of thundering hooves and whistling men. Ah. The fun was about to begin!

He came from the opposite direction. In fact, he was going in an opposite direction himself. Less than a week ago, you see, he had been going towards Cimarron lands. Now, he was going away from them. Why? Well, he didn't have much of an answer. It was just restelessness, he supposed.
Lands and borders meant nothing to him. The tovero stallion tossed his black-and-white mane, a laughterlike whinny escaping his mouth. Nothing could hold him down.
Nothing, that is, except his friends. Where were they? The stallion slowed his pace, contemplating this troubling thought. He had a band, because he didn't like being alone, and yet, here he was, alone. He couldn't find his band members anywhere. It was beginning to eat at his mind like a cancer of sorts. The pinto mustang sighed. Maybe, perhaps they were around in the desert.
So, reason number one: he needed to find his band members.
Reason number two: herd horses were boring. He nodded, agreeing with himself. Yes, that was why he had turned around in his wanderings. After avoiding the Darksun Herd for years, he had returned, just to ruffle some feathers. They were just as uptight, aloof, and unfriendly as ever, and what's more, they were offended too easily. And Cimarron horses weren't much better. Kinder, perhaps, and trusting --too trusting in Garridan's opinion-- but herd horses, all the same.
The heat of the day caused a shimmering semi-invisible curtain of heat waves to dance on the horizon; so he didn't see the fort, or the human-clad horses that were issuing out from it. What he did see, though, was a dun mare galloping toward him. She was beautiful. Garridan slowed his pace, dust floating up around his legs before settling back onto the ground. Adopting a lopsided grin, the rogue stallion continued to move foreward at a prancing walk, his tail and head held high, as he waited for the mare to notice him.

Valkyrie saw the stallion but took no notice of him. She passed him, and the sound was like that of a soft swish. But, then something struck in her mind. Why was she running? She was just that strong! She skidded to a halt, dust rising up around her lovely dun bodice. She reared and charged toward the humans, straight into the heart of them all. Many horses skidded, throwing riders over their heads, other bucked and reared wildly, while their riders struggled to hang on. Nonethless, only half of the ten remained seated in the deep set saddles. She snorted and ciricled the fort.
A bullet whizzed past her. She spooked slightly, but went around the entire thing before spotting a cave where she could hide. No. She was not out to get away, just cause havoc. She quickly ducked inside the cave and watched the men stop their horses, looking for her. They then spotted the stallion. Now, she did not know the boy, no. But, she couldn't let him be caught because of her misbehaving, could she? Well, yes. Techincally she could, but she wasn't that mean. She dashed out, gaining close on the two-legged creatures, and their horses. She was, however, afraid she wouldn't get face to face with them quick enough, and it would be too late.
