A whinny escape from a nearby mare that was having a bit of an issue at the falls. Snorting with irritation, trotting back and forth with her pale hooves. A flicker of her tail showed the signs of her dismay.
Simply wishing to get a drink of water.
Problem, the river's current was a hassle to drink from. Bucking, she ran down the river at its side. Attempting to find a place that held the water but was... ...a bit calmer than this.
Galloping quickly, digging up the moist dirt and rock that flew up behind. Rogue buckled her head and reared as she came to a stop near the edge of the falls. The tumbling water rushing down with force and demand, only to become a calm collective liquid below..
"How would I.. get to my destination." The mare questioned, amber orb's gazing silently at the edges of the falls and the surrounding area.
Spotting a trail quite close to where she stood was a ledge, going down the wall's of the waterfall and below to the pool. Rogue thought of the possibilities of dangers, but shook her head and went for it. Carefully stacking her hooves onto the rocky ledge and headed down, if not slowly.
The ledge was wide enough for any mammal to walk through, but it wasn't that wide enough for a grown horse. This, made an issue of the chances of Rogue falling down to her doom if she so happened to slip.
Eying what lay below as she made her way down, figuring 'why was I so worried?' She nickered to herself but it was short-lived, as she stepped on a loose edge.
Rocks crumbled beneath her as the ledge started falling apart. Whinny out of shock and surprise, Rogue grasp to what she could do and jump from where she stood and began to ran quickly with the rocks that was made from the ledge broke behind her.
Heart-pounding and blood running through-out her body. Rogue was the ground was close enough to have a potentially safe jump. The mare took that jump. Thankfully she was already near to the ground and the pond that the jump didn't result in anything broken or sprained.
Sighing, Rogue looked behind her to see the mess and glancing at the falls she vowed to find a different route to get to the pool. However, in the meantime she pranced over to the water and practically jumped in with a happy whinny.

'What am I doing? What am I doing here? This is not what I have wanted...'
The troubled thoughts of a young stallion circled over and over in the equines mind. The previous battle a few days earlier had left him questioning himself and his motives in the herd. In truth, it all came down to not knowing what he wanted. All his life he'd been lead which direction to go; training to be a war horse, ready to be called into battle when the need came and acting just like his older brother. Now, the young stallion didn't know who he was.
The forest that followed the river was rather quiet, only the sounds of birds singing softly in the overhead branches. The beauty of spring was unsurpassed, except perhaps by that of fall when the leaves had just changed colors; thier reds and yellows and bright oranges. Flower petals lined his path, swirling and dancing around him as if trying to coax him into a dance, but the stallion walked onward in silence. His ebony hide, dappled by the shadows of the trees above, would shimmer nearly a shade of blue or purple in the patches of sunlight as he passed under them. Despite the troubled mind of the youth, not a soul could see it past those with holding eyes; the eyes of his brother.
A crumbling sound met the ears of the young stallion, forcing him to a halt for a moment, asessing where it came from. Quickly, the black stallion burst into a gallop towards the crumbling noise, only to come upon the aftermath of what looked to be a rockslide. The sound of the falls were all he heard now as he stood at the base of them surveying the damage; that sound and the sound of someone in the water. Ears pricking to the mare in the pool, the black stallion watched her, thoughts racing to the times he had met others here. In fact, the two he had met here before where both mares, actually one being a filly. Both had died over the winter, consumed by disease. The stallion had not acted as if thier death had come hard on him, on the outside that is. From what he established of the mess and the deep hoof marks in the ground near the rocks, the stallion figured the mare had tried to climb down to her destination, a step or two miscalculated and thus resulting in the rock slide. She didn't seem hurt, which was good; she was lucky.
Those nearly chilling eyes held no emotion as he took his eyes from the rocks to the mare; a quiet stillness around him. The black stallion stepped towards the edge of the pool, giving space between him and the mare as he always respected the space of another. Then, for the first time since his arrival, Thunder spoke in a young voice, seeming to unmatch his mature, and aged, look.
"That could have ended bad. You are alright, then?"

The mare turned sharply to see that a stallion has made his way, asking if she was alright. Rogue stared quietly at him, pondering what he meant before it clicked.
"Oh, I'm perfectly fine. Thanks for asking, didn't realize someone else was wandering around here." She responded sweetly, stepping out of the pool. Her mix of golden-red and white coat sleek with water.
Looking over to where the danger was previously, "It could of ended bad but.. it didn't. So it doesn't really matter, I lived." She smiled, "It was exciting to say the least. It sort of counts in my book."
Rogue trotted, her white mane with a tint of orange in the mix flowed behind her as well as her tail as she circled the stallion. Simply out of boredom and amusement.
"However, chances are. I won't be taking that route anytime soon." The mare chuckled, continuing her trot as though she was a silly filly.

The young stallion watched with those souless eyes, staring like two gaping holes in his ebony head. To Thunder, she seemed a bit talkative; more so than he was used to, but he held his tongue, naturally being kind to a fellow Darksun, and mare. The mare began to trot, dancing around him in a circle, and yet only his eyes followed her, no change in thier gaze. At her final sentence, Thunder glanced to the once whole path from the wall above.
"I doubt anyone will be using that path anymore..."
Thunder paused for a moment, eyes searching the cliff for no apparent reason, then returning thier hold onto the mare. In a quiet tone, holding just enough friendliness to be sure she knew he meant no threat, but he had left his more polite side by his brother's side, feeling a bit angry today, though none would know.
"Do you dare grace me with a name?"

The mare trotted to a stop directly in front of the black stallion, blinking as she stared at him with large kind eyes, to innocent to be called mean at all. However, his gaze did startle her a bit but didn't waver.
"I grace you with no name" She whinnied, ears perked forward. "Though, if you truly want to know. How about I race you, then tell names afterword?"
It would sound as though she was mocking him and not respond with her name. However, the playful look within her amber orbs tells other wise that she was indeed not mocking.
Random request but she held an urge to run and although running by herself was enjoyable.. Today was one of those day she wished to gallop with another. A grin placed on her maw, she pranced around the black stallion once again.
Tail playfully flickering him in the face. "Tag." Rogue mused, quickly darting away from him just in case he might taken it the wrong way or.. join in the fun and he was it.

'I grace you with no name. Though, if you truly want to know. How about I race you, then tell names afterword?'
Eyes narrowed only slightly at her words; never before had Thunder had a problem in being told a name, nor had anyone asked to trade names over a race. Again her prancing resumed, prancing around him like a giddy filly. The stallion seemed more so annoyed than anything by her. On any other day, Thunder would have found it fun and actually provoke a smile, but today was not a good day for him, and he was not in a playful mood. And then, her tail flicked in his face, the mare darting away from him with one word.
'Tag.'
The ebony stallion only stood, feet planted firmly on the ground, and though his gaze was unchanged, his mind was chewing on that one word: tag? In all his life, even as a colt, he had not heard that word. Kick, bite, trample, push, shove, war, battle, fight; these were the words he was used to, much to his regret. But what was tag? Sounding much more like a response, rather than a question, Thunder responded, with no intentions of following the mare.
"Tag?"

Rogue turned around to give the stallion a questionable look. Finding him most boring at the moment with no motivation to even attempt to social. Ears to the side, she dig at the ground.
"Don't tell me you do not know what tag is."
Though the question of the word said by him made it obvious. "Really? Tag is simply a game. You know, someone lightly nips or bumps or hits claiming out loud, 'Tag' or 'Your it!' You know?"
Rogue stood there, just staring at Thunder with disbelief. Snorting, she flicked her tail about in thought as to how.. approach this.
"Be easier if you lighten up and whatever is troubling you to let go? Only advice." She lowered her neck down as to sniffle whatever there was, out of sheer awkward. "But whatever." Her mood seemed to wash away with a frown. "I guess I'll be on my way." Rogue pawed at the ground one last time and began on her way out.

'Don't tell me you do not know what tag is? Really? Tag is simply a game. You know, someone lightly nips or bumps or hits claiming out loud, 'Tag' or 'Your it!' You know'
Stallion unchanged, unphased by her. Nothing seemed to click in his brain about 'tag'. Of course, if one knew his past, they would understand why. War Indians trained thier horses for war not play, no matter if they wanted to or not. But then, what she said next nearly broke his gaze, but he held fast looking through her.
'Be easier if you lighten up and whatever is troubling you to let go? Only advice. But whatever. I guess I'll be on my way.'
Thunder knew he gave no indication that something was troubling him; this was how he always was, a trait taught by his brother. No, she didn't know he was being troubled by something; it was just her silly talking. She thought she knew what she was talking about, a silly filly. As she turned to leave, Thunder replied in a monotone voice to her.
"All I asked was for a name. I did not ask to play a 'game'. Perhaps you should do more listening than talking, and open your eyes so that you may see."

Rogue kept walking away but slowed and looked at him with a friendly face. "You asked for a name. I have the right to choose whether or not I would want to give it out. Also, you didn't introduce yourself either but I'm not complaining." Rogue blinked and paused for a moment.
"I do see, I see your very tense in how you pose yourself. How you react, how you talk. Something is obviously itching at your tail." Rogue replied sincerely.
"I offered to play a game, but you denied it. Such as I, as stated denied of answering to you as who I am." The mare paused in thought then shook her head, "Everyone should lighten up, most I've met are uptight and find the world a hateful place. I can understand why and everyone has there moments."
She suddenly trotted into a slow gallop in a circle and slowly galloped her way back over to Thunder with a smile. "But if you seem to truly want to know my name. I would gladly give it to you as long as you allow yourself to breath deep and relax."
She giggled and cantered beside the pool of water. Splashing in it with her pale hooves. The red coated and white mare found it most enjoyable to be in the water, and even to drink as she lowered her neck to take a few sips of the cool liquid.

{{ o o c: Thunder really is not acting in the way she described. Everything is monotone; like there is nothing there. That is how Thunder has always spoken, stood and reacted. To be honest, there really is nothing showing that something is bothering him because he showing nothing at all. He's just there. o.o My reason for posting that there was underlying problem was so I could rp him out where it begins and get it to what my RP plans are for him. ;D }}
Again with her silly talking; thinking she knows when she doesn't. Trying to pry into his life and see behind those eyes. A year ago, he wouldn't have acted this way, but he had had a year of polishing done on him. He wasn't the least bit phased or interested in her words, and again with his monotone, unchanging voice he replied.
"You act as if you know me, when you have never met me. You are still as blind as they come. You only proved that by taking that very path that could have been your demise. I am what you see and nothing more. What lies beneath is what lies above."
All truth or all lie, even Thunder didn't know. As of now, he did not know what or who he was, how he was supposed to act, so the way he was acting now would just have to do until he was able to, as many put it, 'find himself'. And she would either have to accept that, or leave him be. Thunder would do this on his own as he had been taught; and he surely would not tell this mare what was going on his mind. Moving on, the stallion walked along the edge of the pool, stopping after a yard or two.
"Perhaps we should try this again." With a graceful bow of his head, his shimmering black mane falling to lick the sandy floor, Thunder introduced himself in what would be the first 'friendly' notion yet. "They call me Thunder, of the Darksun. Brother of Thor, of the Darksun."
