Alright guys. This is hardcore stuff. Hold up you're right hand and repeat after me: I, HotCite, promise to uphold and keep these rules, blah blah blah, yada yada, konichiwa.
Alrighty then. Let's get these down.
Main Forum Rules
Respect fellow members--No bashing or flaming, and no discrimination against other's beliefs, opinions, or race. Disagreement and debate is fine, as long as it is done with respect.
No swearing. Nope. Not at all. Zippo. Bad language is all censored out, anyways, and you WILL look like an idiot, so don't even try.
Nothing too violent or graphic; remember this is a site based on a kid's movie.
Basically, treat others how you would want to be treated. =D
Do not make a post with only one word or just emoticons, unless it's a forum game or something.
Post in the correct board for things. Please.
Role-Playing Rules
All posts must be at least three good-length sentences. It's not that hard of a requirement, really. =]
HotC welcomes RPers of all levels, from beginners to literate. I would appreciate it if everyone is respectful of the fact that some RPers may not be on the same level as you, and please don't be arrogant about it--I want this site to have a friendly atmoshpere where people are encouraged to grow in their writing skills. On the other hand, don't feel discouraged if someone is writing thousand word posts and you can only churn out five sentances--that's perfectly okay! You get enough stress from the English tests at school, anyways. This is a place to relax and have fun.
Use correct grammar and spelling. I don't care how much you absue teh gramm3rz when you're OOC, but when you're making a post IC, use correct grammr, capitilization, all those good old English rules.
Stay active. If EVERYONE follows this rule, we won't have to worry about someone being inactive because no one's replied to them, k?
You can have as many characters as you want, but you must be able to be active with them.
No god-moding or power playing. This means that you can't control another person's character (ie: Blackie kicked Suzy and broke Suzy's leg) or making your own character all powerful (ie: Blackie dodged every single attack from Suzy and didn't get hurt at all.)
Character's can only be in one place at a time. Also, you can't hop from one place to a place completely different--check the map to see the surrounding territory you can go to. When you are finished in a thread, post DONE in OOC comments so that a staff member may move the thread.
Breeding/Foals Rules
No graphic/long breeding. At all. When things start to get too intimate, just fade to back. Let's keep this site kid friendly, k?
You can only have one mate at a time.
After breeding, fill out the foal form in the correct board and wait for a staff member to make bios for your foals. Keep in mind that defects like blindness may occur...but on the other hand, the staff might be feeling nice and give you twins. =] Both defects and twins are pretty rare, though.
You must wait for another member to role-play your foal. If it's spring and no one's claimed your foal, then you may play your own foal.
the password FoR thE profile sectioN Can be found by paying close attention to the capitalized words in tHese sentences. FiRe Is vEry aeSthetic at times...
Penalties
1st offense: Warning
2nd-4th offenses: A day ban for each rule broken
5th offense: Banned forever
May vary according to the rule that was broken.
THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT RULE THAT YOU COULD EVER READ. IT APPLIES TO EVERYONE ON THE FORUM, WITH NO EXCEPTIONS.
Have fun, guys. =) That's what this forum is, when it all boils down to everything. If you aren't having fun, then I have wasted all my time putting it together, and then I would be very sad. And I think other people would be sad, too. So don't get too caught up in everything to enjoy the site.
