Darksun Rock In the midst of Darksun territory lies the herd's namesake: a good-sized, dark-colored boulder carved by nature into the shape of a sun. There are several legends surrounding the rock's origin; it has become the herd's traditional place to call meetings. Badlands The badlands. They are drier than the Cimarron territory, but still able to sustain enough grass to feed the herd. The land is uneven and rocky, with volcanic rock scattered around. Moderators: [esperanza], Simba Maliki	0	0	No posts have been made on this board.
Backcountry The forested part of the Darksun Herd's territory is thick, dark, and dense. It's a little thinner near where it meets the badlands, but the trees get much thicker as you venture further in. It is made up of all conifers, with uneven ground. Despite this, it is a priced part of their territory, mostly for the beautiful (and good-tasting) lake in the center, and for the shelter it provides during the winter. Cloud Mountain A lone mountain stands up in the Darksun Herd's territory--actually, it was once a volcano. It has long gone dormant, however, and the crater has collapsed into a depression that is safe to walk on. It isn't too steep, making it easy to climb up, and from on top, you can see the entire territory of both the Darksun Herd and surrounding lands. Rushing Waters Where the river flows by, it runs violently off a cliff and into a small, calm pool below. The waterfall is dangerous, but if you can make it safely down the steep banks, you can drink and wade safely in the pool. Be careful not to get too close to the falls, however; the current is strong enough to sweep a grown horse off it's hooves.
