Graystorm chuckled a bit as he felt the tips of the bay's tail strike his nose and he smirked, narrowing his eyes in mock anger. Looking around, he sniffed the air for any signs of predators before he stepped inside after her, the bush falling into place behind him. He was sure the bush and trees would hide them from view from other horses and predators alike.
Turning back to Coldheart, he saw her trot around the trees, prancing and playing like a filly. A loving smile couldn't help but appear on his face as he watched her play and a moment later, he trotted after her and stopped on the other side of the large tree, his head peeking around the trunk at her. Knew you'd like it he answered, grinning before he reached forward and gently pulled at her forelock. Looking up, he saw an apple hanging heavily off a low branch and with a kick of his hind legs, he soon reared up and plucked it off, his hooves landing on the ground with a small thud. His wounds gave a tiny twinge in protest, but with the seeds he had taken earlier, it was barely noticeable. He looked back at Coldheart and offered the apple to her, winking at her in play. After what had happened back in the Darksun lands, he thought that they deserved some down time to relax. [/blockquote]

Knew you'd like it
Coldheart grinned as he spoke, peeking around the tree. She gave him a playful glare as he pulled at her forelock, returning the favor soon after. The bay watched as he looked up, following his gaze to a ready-looking apple hanging in the tree. It looked quite ready indeed, and favorable to any horses' eye. It was no surprise to her when Graystorm leaped up to grab it, but it was a surprise he offered it to her, but before she took it, she looked over his wounds to be sure he was okay. Coldheart chuckled lightly, biting half of the apple for herself, to share the other half with Graystorm. The loud crunch of the apple only further proved its ripeness with a tantilizing taste afterward as the juicy treat filled her mouth. It had been a good long while since she had such a good apple, or any apples really.
"You're such a gentlehorse, aren't you? Thank you... for everything, Graystorm."
The bay nuzzled the gray stallion gently on his muzzle before playfully tagging his side, careful not to touch any wounds, and then dashing off in a game of tag.
"You're it!"

Graystorm's eyes couldn't help but narrow slightly in affection as he watched her eat the apple, he doing the same soon after. It was crunchy and sang with a sweet and tasteful flavor as some of the juice trailed down the side of his mouth and he quickly lowered his head to wipe it off against his foreleg. As he came back up, he felt Coldheart's touch and a gentle smile crossed his face as he nuzzled her back.
You're such a gentlehorse, aren't you? Thank you... for everything, Graystorm Anytime he answered, his smile transforming into a small grin. Then the touch to his side made him blink in surprise before he saw Coldheart take off, declaring a game of tag. A smirk couldn't help but wander its way across his face as he let out a small laugh and immediately ran after her. It felt so good to run for fun and not just from danger it made the stallion buck slightly in play as the thought of his injuries opening up disappeared from his mind. He quickly caught up to the bay and playfully nipped at her hindquarter before skidding to a stop and running in the opposite direction. Who's it now?! he called over his shoulder, grinning teasingly. As he turned back to the path, he saw a tree approaching fast in his line of vision and he quickly skidded around it, the wind blowing back his creamy mane and tail. It was a bit of a reckless move, but he could care less. Now was a time for fun! The stallion chuckled slightly at the slight adrenaline rush before he looked back at Coldheart and playfully stuck out his tongue at her, his tail flicking in contentedness as he began running again. Coldheart couldn't help but let out a taunting laugh as she ran ahead of him, looking back at him as he gained speed. She went to spin quickly away to evade him when she felt him nip her right on the hindquarters!
Who's it now?!
The bay laughed, giving a playful 'evil' gaze at him, running after Graystorm. Hooves tearing into the dirt, Coldheart took after him at full speed, mane and tail whipping in the wind. At this time she didn't know if the seeds she had eaten earlier had taken care of her pains or if she just wasn't thinking about them. Either way, Coldheart felt they could do anything they wished by now. The small bay, being quick due to her size, was able to copy the stallion's move around the tree just in the nick of time, approaching him fast. She ducked off of the trail he was taking and disappeared into the foilage.
Moments later, after a seething moment of silence, the bay reappeared, leaping ahead of the stallion, ready to halt him with her own body as a blockade, a mischieveous grin on that face.
"You're it now!"

He watched her maneuver around the tree out of the corner of his eye and a small, playful smile crossed his face before he saw the bay leap into the foliage, disappearing. Clever he thought as he skidded to a stop and looked around, his head lowered and a grin replacing his smile. Moments passed and he kept an eye on the foliage as his ears pricked forward for her appearance, his senses alert.
Soon, she appeared in front of him and he raised his head before leaping backward, his tail whipping back and forth in the wind.
You're it now! He playfully scoffed and narrowed his eyes in mock anger as he stamped a hoof. You have to catch me first! he said and as soon as the words left his mouth, he took off in the other direction. Knowing her, she would probably catch up to him in moments, but it would still be fun to see. Graystorm tossed his head before he leaped behind a trunk and peeked around the other side toward Coldheart to stick his tongue out at her teasingly. A mischievous twinkle was a lit in his blue eyes before he ran again, weaving in and out of the apple trees. [/blockquote]

You have to catch me first!
Coldheart smirked, tearing after him. It wasn't long until she right up by his flank and gave him a delightful nip to his barrel, mocking him as she veered off away from him.
"Come on, Graystorm, you're making this too easy."
The bay laughed as she waved her banner as if to tell him to come get her, dancing around the base of a rather old apple tree, taunting him with her body.

The stallion blinked in surprise as he felt the nip to his barrel and he skidded to a stop, grass and dirt flying forward.
Come on, Graystorm, you're making this too easy A chuckle rumbled forth from his muzzle as he flicked his tail in play while his ears pinned back in mock anger, watching her taunt him. Smirking, he took a few steps forward before he kicked his legs back and ran at her. For a moment, it seemed as though he would crash into her, but at the last minute, he skidded to a stop in front of the bay, nose a few mere inches from hers. He grinned before he touched her muzzle with his own. Come on, Coldheart. You're making this too easy for me he whispered, a tease evident in his tone before he reached forward and gently tugged at her black forelock, a playful spark in his eyes.[/blockquote]

Coldheart planted her hooves firmly in the ground as Graystorm ran for her, sliding to stop just mere inches from her face. A glimmering, nearly defiant gaze shown in her eyes as she stood face to face with him, a smirk on her muzzle.
Come on, Coldheart. You're making this too easy for me
With a laugh, the small bay suddenly bunched her haunches and launched at Graystorm, aiming to tackle him right to the ground. Of course, she made sure not to hit his wounds, not wanting to hurt him as she was unsure if the seeds they had eaten earlier were still in effect with him.
"Gotcha!"

The stallion couldn't help but let out a startled snort of surprise as the petite mare tackled him to the ground. He blinked several times before grinning and looking up at her. Luckily, the seed were still going strong so the pain to his shoulders was minimal.
Nice move, love he said, chuckling as he lifted his head and nuzzled her cheek with his nose. A small sigh escaped him before he laid his head on the grass as the sun warmed his coat, soothing his sore muscles from the fight in Darksun. A summer breeze went through the area, ruffling the leaves from the apple trees as some fell to the ground. The area was so relaxing, the stallion felt as though he never wanted to leave. He wanted to stay here with Coldheart and just be with her. His eyes closed briefly while his ears flicked around to take in the sounds of the orchard. Opening his eyes, he took notice of a small flower that managed to survive the pair's crushing hooves and a smile crossed his face before he reached forward and plucked the flower off the ground. Glancing at Coldheart, he leaned toward her and placed the flower in the crest of her raven colored mane. This place has its own beauty, but its not enough to match yours he said, his tone warm as his blue gaze softened.[/blockquote]

Nice move, love
Coldheart smiled as she let herself onto the ground, laying beside him, afraid she may accidently hurt him. She rested her head on his neck, quite content on staying there for eternity. It felt as if this orchard was frozen in time, all thier troubles gone. And best of all, she was with Graystorm.
She felt Graystorm move and the bay mare lifted her head, only to have a lovely flower bestowed upon her mane, followed by her beau's flattering words. This place has its own beauty, but its not enough to match yours Coldheart smiled, and would have blushed if horses could, nuzzling Graystorm softly.
"Flattering words from such a handsome stallion."
Coldheart rested her head against his. She knew she loved him... and she wanted to profess that love. Conjuring her bravery, though she doubted she had anything to fear, Coldheart spoke in a soft, loving voice, rare to her nature.
"Graystorm... come fall, I wish to have a foal... Your foal. That is, if you want..."
For a moment, Coldheart thought of what kind of lifestyle the foal would grow up in. The Cimarron would do great for the young foal. It would be away from Alasdi's treacherous and venemous spews that could poison any mind. Coldheart was bound to the Darksun by blood, but even the sickly thoughts of Alasdi could make her turn away. The Cimarron would make a great home for a foal... if they were to have one.

Flattering words from such a handsome stallion A chuckle escaped his maw at her voice and he couldn't help but grin sheepishly, returning her nuzzle. The stallion rested his head against her own, Coldheart's soft voice entering his mind. Her tone was somewhat surprising to him, but he listened nonetheless. Graystorm... come fall, I wish to have a foal... Your foal. That is, if you want... For a moment, Graystorm was speechless although it was more of joy than shock although he felt a little bit of that too. A grin couldn't help but cross his muzzle before he nuzzled her neck lovingly. I would love that, Coldheart he answered as he pulled back and rested his forehead against hers. To have a foal...the stallion wondered what that would be like especially with Alasdi no doubt wanting revenge on them. A small spark of determination lit up inside Graystorm, knowing he would protect his future family at all costs. [/blockquote]

I would love that, Coldheart
Coldheart smiled, resting her head against his brow as he did so. Coldheart wondered what kinda mother she would make, wondering if she would be good enough... Of course she'd be devoted enough to protect him or her from anything, even Alasdi. Coldheart did not fear that stallion one bit; she feared losing her loved ones.
"You know, Alasdi will be a bigger threat to us if we have a foal... Are you ready for that?"
Her voice was that familiar determined voice, not of concern. She was not concerned about the two being able to defend thier foal, but she wanted to be sure Graystorm knew what to expect.

You know, Alasdi will be a bigger threat to us if we have a foal... Are you ready for that? A tiny, determined smirk couldn't help but cross his face at her question. Of course he answered, nodding his head slightly. Alasdi brought no fear out of the silver stallion although losing the ones that he loved did. Nuzzling her forehead, Graystorm then rolled over onto his back, blue eyes flicking toward the sky as he watched the fluffy clouds pass by. The blue abyss of the late morning sky was broken up by the branches of the apple trees as the sun shone down on the pair. The stallion didn't really feel like thinking about what could happen with Alasdi if they did have the foal, but he was sure he would tear the bay limb from limb if he ever so dared to threaten them. Pushing that aside, Graystorm laid back on his side again, orbs closing in bliss. [/blockquote]

Of course
Coldheart smiled as he nuzzled her, watching quietly in thought as the stallion rolled to his back lazily. The bay knew that together, the two could get through anything thrown their way. Surely no one had a stronger bond than he and she. As he rolled back to his side, Coldheart rested her head back on the ground, watching him for a moment before closing her eyes to soak in the sun. She was tempted to sleep, but the sudden sound of hooves made her ears prick. Coldheart sat up, ears listening for the sound, but it didn't take long for her to find it. It came to them.
The black stallion was exploring his new lands, well, he called them his land. Duke had missed the feeling of having a home and this felt as good a home as any. It felt good to be home, but more importantly, it felt good to be with his son, who Duke couldn't seem to find at the moment. The stallion trotted into a rather thick grove, filled with apple trees, only to stumble on to two mustangs; a mare and a stallion.
Duke slid to a stop, ears pricked forward at the two as the small bay rose to her feet, a threatening look on her that quickly faded. It seemed she wanted to fight but something held her back. The stallion felt he may have interrupted the morning of the two, which he could tell where in love. Though he couldn't help but smile on the inside about the two, it pained him as he thought of his mate... she was gone. Clearing the thoughts, Duke felt he should at least excuse his interruption on thier morning.
"Sorry to have intruded. I was just exploring the land a bit. Are you two from the Cimarron?"

The stallion's breathing starting slowing to a gentle rhythm as the warmth from the sun was making him drowsy. A nap sounded good to him and just as he was about to fall into a light sleep, the sound of hooves fell on his ears and Graystorm lifted his head, muscles tensed.
The sight of the black stallion made his ears pin slightly to his head, but there was nothing threatening about his stance. For now at least. Tossing his forelock out of his eyes, he then rose to his hooves, hearing the stallion's words.
Sorry to have intruded. I was just exploring the land a bit. Are you two from the Cimarron?
Graystorm nodded, bowing his head politely in greeting. Yes, we are. he answered, his tone slightly cool. He hadn't seen this stallion around here and the silver stallion couldn't help but wonder if he was a rogue or was maybe looking to join a herd.[/blockquote]
