A flash of light caught Alasdi's eyes, and he jerked his head to the side just in time to see a bolt of lightning against the dark clouds that were on the horizon. He wondered what kind of weather would be best for battle. A thunderstorm, no doubt, would mask their scent, but it might also hinder them. But it would be oh so exciting. He considered it, and decided that, if the other herd members were willing, he might as well go ahead with it regardless of any storms. Was the Cimarron herd even expecting battle? Surely Coldheart and her mate had warned Spirit by now.
Thunder answered the lightning bolt, and Alasdi tossed his head, feeling adrenaline surging through his veins. He stamped a hind hoof to let out his excitement; it wouldn't do to go around prancing like a lovestruck foal in front of Danuwa.
"The game, Alasdi... Would you allow me to be a part of it? ...Or need I prove my worth more?"
The bay's ears flicked toward the colt's words. Alasdi glanced back at Danuwa, allowing himself to smirk. "I think you've already proven yourself more worthy than some of the adult herd members," he assured the colt. It wouldn't hurt to boost the colt's arrogance a bit...at least, that is, it wouldn't hurt Alasdi. He nodded as another lightning bolt flicked on the horizon, thunder following soon after. The storm was getting closer.
"In fact..." he said, looking back in the direction of the Cimarron lands, "the game is about to reach its climax. Come, let's call the herd together," he added, taking a step toward Darksun Rock, looking over his shoulder to see if the colt would follow.
