As Katori went around the corner to find the hay, Desh rolled again. Itches were relieved and fly bites eased as dirt was crushed into his coat in every possible way. He managed to flop over onto his other side just as she returned. Stretching out on his one side, he heaved a sigh and laid still. Gritty tail flisking once in a while to scare the flies from landing on his rump.
Ear flicked to catch a happy whinny from the bay mare, he smiled as he caught sight of her rolling as well. Lifting his head and placing it further up on the ground, he craned to catch sight of Katori when she replied.
'My father had mentioned that some of the mares here were sometimes used for breeding purposes...and..well...I don't want to be one of them. I don't think any mare wants to be bred with a strange stallion.'
She had a point there. Snorting to clear some dust, Desh rolled back onto his chest. Chin resting on the ground as he answered her, The army does sometimes breed the mares, but it more often than not their own horses. The ones that aren't like us.. The more-- elegant ones. The long leggy ones, or the short stocky ones.
Cremello stretched his two forelegs out and rested his head on them, Some foals do happen when they forget to tie up the stallions, or take the mares out. Though it's pretty hard to ignore riled up stallions fighting over a mare. He shrugged, If your escape plan goes according to plan, you shouldn't even have to worry about it. Desh smiled at her, then followed her gaze as she stared at the gate.[/blockquote]

The army does sometimes breed the mares, but it more often than not their own horses. The ones that aren't like us.. The more-- elegant ones. The long leggy ones, or the short stocky ones
The mare nodded in acknowledgment at his words, a little bit of relief seeping into her as she was glad she wasn't what the humans had defined elegant. The bay was the typical mustang, short and stocky with a roman nose although she supposed her unusual eye color made her more unique. Her mind thought back to what her father had told her before the humans came. He had been the Colonel's horse, they had wanted to breed him with another mare but he had managed to fight back and refuse, he had rarely gotten into fights although he did have a rivalry with another high position horse..what was his name? Isuka?. The mare laid her head on the ground and closed her eyes briefly before opening them again.
Some foals do happen when they forget to tie up the stallions, or take the mares out. Though it's pretty hard to ignore riled up stallions fighting over a mare.
Her ears pricked to his words and she shrugged. That was true. Maybe it was because they were all cooped up in one place and were only let out when the humans decided they needed exercise or had to go on patrol.
If your escape plan goes according to plan, you shouldn't even have to worry about it
Desh's words broke into her mind and she lifted her head to look over at him. Troubling thoughts wandered into her mind. She knew that any plan she thought of had risks. What if she died while getting out? What if she didn't think of it fast enough and had to be force bred? She shuddered inwardly. The mare would neuter whatever stallion who would dare try to breed with her in the autumn. Snapping out of her thoughts, she soon spoke. I know...but I can't help but think what if.... she said. You wouldn't happen to know any weak points in here would you? [/blockquote]

'I know...but I can't help but think what if.... '
It was understandable for the mare to be worried, Desh bobbed his head. Longer ears pricked to what more the mare had on her mind.
'You wouldn't happen to know any weak points in here would you?'
Grunting, the cream stallion lunged up and regained his footing under the stable roof. Flicking an ear back to Katori, mute in acknowledgment of being asked a question. He braced his legs and shook all the extra debris from his coat before quickly shuffling over to the stable wall. Nosing it with a loud snort, he rested his chin on it. Blue eyes directed over at the gate.
Sadly, no. Just that the gate has to open every once in a while. A few boards around here are loose, but nothing that could be used to our advantage.
Army stallion raised his gaze to the sky, pink nostrils flaring in what little breeze dare stir in the hot afternoon. He thought he could catch the scent of rising dust, coming from the returning patrol- but it was far too soon. Snorting and shaking his head as if to clear it, he meandered back away from the sun.
Then again.. If you have an owner, partner, or umm... happen to be a friend with a human, then sometimes they pay more attention to you than others. You get a longer time to roll, more time to stretch your legs. That happens if you're favored over others. He shrugged, Sometimes. If Katori's plan went through... He'd be back in the wild! Back home. He wondered if his dam was still around. Sighing, he locked his knees and stood idle near the back, just waiting for the sun to sink lower.

The mare rolled onto her side and laid her head on the ground with a loud huff. She then stretched her legs out before her ears pricked to Desh's voice.
Sadly, no. Just that the gate has to open every once in a while. A few boards around here are loose, but nothing that could be used to our advantage.
Her ears slightly drooped forward at hearing this and she raised her head to look around as she thought hard on what her father had done before he had actually escaped. From what he had said, Lucian had fiddled with the locks on the stables and as soon as the doors had opened, he had kicked out at it and ran full sprint for the entrance. His plan had failed though and he was tied up in the stables and was only untied for patrol or such.
Then again.. If you have an owner, partner, or umm... happen to be a friend with a human, then sometimes they pay more attention to you than others. You get a longer time to roll, more time to stretch your legs. That happens if you're favored over others. Sometimes
At this, Katori's ears pricked forward and she stood up, shaking her coat free of debris. A soft snort escaped her nostrils before she looked toward the gates yet again. Being friends with a human sounded absolutely absurd to her, but she knew if she wanted to get out the bay would have to swallow her pride and do it. But how would that work? Would she have to stand still and behave herself like the rest of the fort horses? The mare shook her head and began to speak when she saw a human enter the stables.
Tossing her head, she eyed the two-leg cautiously and briefly scraped her hoof on the ground as it came closer to her. Her muscles tensed as a rope was tied to the halter around her head and she was led toward the exit. Her spirits couldn't help but soar. Perhaps they were letting her go!
Thought too soon.. her spirits soon deflated as she saw that she was being led to the corral and a lot of humans were surrounding it. She looked back at Desh and tilted her head toward the corral, one ear pricking forward and the other laying back. Were they going to try and break her?
Her question was answered when more humans surrounded her and tied more ropes to her halter. Katori let out an angry snort but reluctantly let them lead her to the small pen. Her teeth bared as she felt her head being harshly lifted upward and the rope halter was taken off to be replaced with another different one. A cold piece of steel was shoved to the back of her mouth and she let out an angry squeal as she tried to rear but there were too many humans around that held her back. Something was placed on her back and instinct soon fired up in her as she felt more weight on her. Out of the corner of her eye, she could see the shape of the human and a burst of rage exploded within her.
Stomping her hoof, Katori then saw the pen door open and she immediately shot out like a bullet, bucking and kicking. The mare squealed angrily as she skidded to a stop and snapped her head back up to feel the impact of the humans face. A grin soon appeared on her face as she bucked again, the human landing on the ground with a hard thud. Anger clouded her vision and she charged forward toward the fallen human that was soon running as fast as his clumsy legs would carry him for the fence. He wasn't fast enough and she watched the human fall to the ground before she stopped before him and reared, her hooves aiming to kill. The human barely had time to get away as her hooves slammed into the ground, missing the two leg by inches.
Green orbs narrowed dangerously before she went back to the pen, raven banner swishing in anger as she awaited for the next human to get on her back so she could see them fly off.

Cremello stallion closed his eyes, feeling slight relief from the hot day as he stood at the back of the stable. The cool wood giving off some of it's coolness before the heat of the day sucked it away greedily.
Desh pricked an ear to the sound of the gate opening, peeking from lidded eyes he watched as a two-leg meandered into the stable. A rope in his hands. Sighing, he relaxed and momentarily forgot about the newly imprisoned mare. Ears revolved to the sound of boots and shod hooves hitting the ground. Blue eyes snapped open with a snort and he caught Katori's backward glance. Panicked at how he had let her down again, he lunged toward the fence, his chest pressed up against it. He watched the bay mare as she was taken to the corral.
'Not good..!'
Ears pricked and flattened with worried panic for his newly found friend. They were going to try and break her right away! Snorting, he paced before settling down long enough to catch sight of the holding pen's gate open. The wild mare was out and gone, the human off of her back all within a heartbeat.
Free of her unwanted burden, Desh watched with horror in his eyes as she suddenly turned on the two-leg. Newly shod hooves barely missing a deadly accuracy by mere inches. Katori then moved back toward the pen. Desh followed her progress with his anxious pacing, he released a shrill whinny, Pace yourself! You'll tire out if you go all out and try to get rid of them all like that!

If the mare had had any thoughts of trying to make friends with the humans, they were gone now. A red haze seemed to cloud her vision as she felt another human get in the saddle. Black tipped auds pinned to her head as she watched the gate open from the corner of her eye and she was off again, bucking and kicking. Snorting angrily, she ran toward the fence and slammed her side into the wood, hearing a scream from the human as its leg had broken from the impact. Charging toward the other side of the fence, she made to do the same thing, but the weight on her back disappeared and she turned to see the human crawling for the safety of the fence.
She heard the sound of Desh's voice, but his words didn't really connect. Striking the ground with a metal hoof, she made her way back to the pen, her brown coat already starting to shine with sweat, but she didn't care. Adrenaline and anger was coursing through her now. The mare would rather die than let any human ride her. Rearing upward, she sliced at the air as a challenging whinny erupted from her muzzle, oblivious to the three newly captured horses that had started to enter the fort walls.

His money was riding on Katori on winning in the corral, yet Desh knew if she continued to exert herself like she was doing now- she wouldn't last long. Stallion snorted and bobbed his head before trailing along the stable wall to follow the bay mare as she was brought back to the holding pen. Another two-leg was unlucky enough to settle onto her back. Cremello winced as he fixed his blue eyes on the mare's pinned ears, yet he watched her exploded from the holding area and promptly go all out to rid herself of the pest on her back. He felt for Katori, having been ripped from the freedom she had known all her life, yet he also felt sorry for the two-legs that met her anger.
Snorting in shock, he couldn't believe how much passion she put into her bucks, kicks, leaps and charges. Watching as Katori rammed her side into the fence, he balked and shied from the wall as the human screamed. Desh was almost uncertain as to what had happened, he had thought he had heard a crack. Bone or wood. He knew however when the soldier slipped from the saddle, trying not to land on it as he slumped into the dirt. Katori made the same effort to crush the man as she had done to the last one, missing as he scrambled out of danger.
Desh pressed his chest against the stable wall as he watched her return yet again to the holding pen. A groaning, creaking sound snapped him out of his watching trance. Blowing roughly through his nostrils, he tore his eyes away from Katori and to the gates. They were opening! Entering was a small band of horses, three held lasso's around their necks. More captured mustangs. Stallion decided once again to try and snap Katori out of her infuriated state, bugling loudly, "Katori! The gate is open!"

The mare bared her teeth and stomped a front hoof in rage before she trotted back to the pen, lunging at the human that was holding it open. Snorting, she stepped into the small enclosure and soon another human leaped onto her back, pulling at the reins and the bit adding pressure in her mouth. Leaping out of the corral, she bucked and felt a stinging sensation coming from her hindquarter. The bay skidded to a stop and reared, the human still managing to stay upon her back.
Shaking her head fiercely, she charged toward the fence, some humans scattering from it before she felt the weight on her back disappearing and she turned her head to see the two leg running away. A small smirk crossed her muzzle before her ears pricked to Desh's voice.
Katori! The gate is open!
Looking toward the wooden gates, she saw that it was indeed opening and with a fierce neigh, she ran full sprint toward it. With a powerful kick from her back legs, she managed to sail over the fence, her hooves skimming the wood. The mare stumbled a bit while landing, but she managed to regain her footing before galloping toward the stables to try and let Desh out. Before she even got within feet of it, she felt a rope snake around her neck and tightening around her windpipe. She skidded to a stop and made to lunge at the human when another rope captured her. Katori was caught yet again.
You'll have to try harder than that, little Katori said a voice and she turned her head to see a black stallion a few feet away from her, ropes leading him toward the stables as well as two other horses. Her eyes widened in recognition, but before she had time to figure out what her old friend was doing here, a sharp jerk from the ropes made her walk back toward the corral.
A snort of surprise escaped her nostrils as she saw not only Alucard but Shetan and her father as well. Did they get captured too?. The sight of the pen soon snapped her out of her thoughts and she dug her hooves into the dirt, but it was to no avail. Katori watched as the pen door closed, awaiting for more humans to try and ride her.
It took all Lucian had to not break the nearest two leg's neck as he saw Katori get captured again and led back to the corral. If it was one thing he had to hand to the humans, it was that they never gave up. He was certain that his daughter wouldn't either, but the sight of her sweat stained coat was starting to concern him. She won't make it to nightfall if she keeps that up he thought, but the slight change of temperature made him look up to see a wooden ceiling. He was inside the stables. Tossing his head, he immediately made his way over to the wall next to the white stallion who had called to Katori. How long has she been at this? he asked. Alucard pricked an ear in his direction as the other went to Katori, watching as she exploded from the corral yet again, another human on her back. She certainly has your blood flowing through her, Lucian thought the black stallion as he noticed the slight red in her green orbs. [/blockquote]

I must c o n f e s s
That I feel like a
M o n s t e r
Nostrils flared. Eyes burned. The demon took over. All it would take was one burst of energy. One kick, one bite, one kill. And then to run like never before. But the sane part of the red stallion's mind took over as he watched the dreaded scene from behind the others.
What are you waiting for? Go! Kill them! Get your revenge!
Ignoring the words of his father, Shetan moved quietly along the stall wall, getting away from the other two and trying to get as close to Katori as possible. It took everything he had to keep his cool from tearing into those two-leggeds... Shetan knew he'd get his chance eventually, but he also knew now was not the time for that... Soon, but not now. He watched in silence, gathering his words togetherto tell her to stop fighting. Shetan knew that by saying that, it would certainly make him a hypocrite... He knew Katori... and he knew she was a fighter like he... That was what made them such a great pair. Through thick and thin, they could fight anything and prevail... Alone it was a bit harder... but together, Shetan knew they could fight the world.
Rearing, Shetan bugled fiercly in an attempt to charge Katori up; to get her fighting. All the while, looking for a way to get to her, to help her fight. Perhaps if Shetan could get into, or near, the corral, he could intrigue some young rider to attempt him... Shetan suddered to think of having them attach those nasty looking tools to him... but if thats what it took to get to her, Shetan would do it or anything it took.

(I hate to flood..but I don't know if iHorse is playing anymore or not.. )
He wants a fight Well, now he's got one He ain't seen me crazy yet
Another man soon leaped onto her back and the pen door opened, starting it back up again. Shooting from the corral, she bucked and spun, whinnying fiercely to try and get the two-leg off her back. Green orbs blazed with fire as she skidded to a stop and reared before she heard Shetan's encouraging bugle. Her ears flicked in his direction and a small smirk crossed her muzzle before she began bucking again, the two-leg still hanging on. Stubborn one, eh? she thought as she bucked a few more times but with no avail.
The mare let out an angry snort before she galloped toward the fence, turning sharply at the last minute. Finally, she felt the weight from her back being lifted and she flicked her eyes toward the two-leg that was on the ground, crawling toward the fence. Tossing her head, she looked around, ears pinned flat to her head and her teeth bared in anger while her chest heaved in exhaustion.
Lucian kept his eyes on his daughter, his tail swishing angrily. He could tell that Katori was already exhausted, she was just too stubborn to admit it. He kicked the stall wall with a fore hoof before he too let out a bugle filled with encouragement. Alucard kept silent as he watched the bay, his eyes narrowed thoughtfully. Let's see how long she lasts before she cracks
Katori's head lowered slightly as she caught her breath before she went toward the pen door again. White spots danced in front of her eyes, but she blinked them away. Of course, she knew that wasn't a good sign, but the stubborn mare pushed it aside. She would die before she admitted defeat to these humans. Tossing her head, she made her way back to pen and another human got on her back. The pen was opened and the cycle began again. The two-leg was off in a matter of minutes. Fifteen passed and three more had tried and failed to stay on her back. By this time, she could feel her strength ebbing away, but she refused to give up.
Unfortunately, the humans thought differently as she made her way back to the pen when she felt ropes snake around her neck. Baring her teeth, she snapped at the nearest human although it was done half-heartedly. She felt the straps come undone and she sighed in relief, stretching her sore jaw from the humans pulling on the bit roughly.
A rope halter was soon put on her head and she was led back to the stables. As soon as the door closed behind her, she ran over to the three stallions, her muscles protesting wearily. What are you three doing here?! she exclaimed, skidding to a stop in front of them.[/blockquote]
