At her words, Shetan turned away from her, head low and eyes closed. He thought for a long moment of what he should say and what would hurt her less.

“When… when you truly know… who I am… only then.”

Shetan snorted, raising his head and almost taking on an aggressive look. He looked at her from the corner of his eye, the flames burning in his eyes, as if they were threatening her.

“If you see who I am and you still love me… then is when we may let it grow… but no sooner.”

She watched as he turned away, head low and she wanted to comfort him but she stayed put and only listened. Hearing his words, she slowly nodded as she took another step toward him. Then he lifted his head, an agressive look in his eyes, but she only met his gaze, determined. Then show me.. she said.

Shetan snorted almost in surprise at her words, but he closed his eyes and turned away from her again. He took deep slow breaths, calming the flame in him. He took a deep breath and slowly opened his eyes.

"Now... is not the time. I... I'm sorry, Katori..."

The red stallion reared, tossing his head and leaped into a gallop, leaving her there. Leaving her to think. He wouldn't allow her to get hurt... no matter how much it hurt him.

She watched as he turned away from her again, taking deep breaths to calm the fire in him. A sigh escaped her and her ears pricked at his words. Her mouth opened to say something to make him stay, but he had already left, leaving her there. Katori's head drooped as her body shook, her eyes gleaming in tears, but she fought them back. Tears show weakness she thought, but one still managed to escape her grasp and fall to the ground. Breathing heavily, she raised her head before turning away and running off.
