"That's great. I like to playfight sometimes when I'm in the mood, running, and also to look at the stars, moon, and sometimes the sunrise if I get up early enough, though I like the season of summer better," she said politely. Suddenly, she heard the rustle of bushes and turned in that direction, only to find a pair of bunnies cautiously stepping out. "Aw, they're so cute." Her eyes lit up as if she remembered something. "Oh yeah birds, I like birds."

At her words, his ears pricked in interest as he listened to her speak.Really? That's great he said, grinning. He soon caught sight of the two rabbits that came out of the bush and a small smile crossed his face at the sight of them.

She nodded in agreement and observed the rabbits curiously. "Heh, they are cute, you know staying together and keeping an eye on each other. Do you think they're friends?" The two little woodland creatures groomed each other for some time before moving on some more to find food or perhaps another place.

Hearing her words, he smiled and slowly nodded. Probably..I think everyone needs someone to keep an eye on them to survive..at least for some he answered, his head tilting in thought. Tossing his head, he watched as the rabbits groomed each other before scampering off into the woods.

Serenity shrugged and looked up in thought. "I guess so, sometimes others like to be alone and can survive alone. Take loners for example; they can live well on their own, but can carry many scars with them from trying to survive in this wild west." She snorted and shook her head. "Though I can't imagine life without a herd. It's safer with a herd."

Pricking his ears to her words, he nodded slowly. Yeah..Sometimes..I wonder what it would be like to be a loner. To not have anyone tell you what to do, you have no boundaries and you can live your life however you want.. he said, looking up at the sky as he thought of one of his friends who had recently run off with a red stallion, or so he had heard.

"Hm...who knows? It would mean more adventures, exploring the unexplored." She watched him carefully as he thought and wondered what he could be thinking about. She nudged him lightly with her nose and asked curiously, "If you don't mind me asking, what are you thinking about?"

At her nudge, he turned to look at her, his brown eyes glazed as memories filled his head. I'm just thinking about one of my friends..she left the herd during the summer to be with a stallion..I'm just wondering if she's okay he said as some leaves fell and brushed his coat.

Serenity continued watching him in thought. "Do you think that she will...ever come back to visit you?" She figured that it would be good on the mare's part to at least visit Swifthoof once or twice to see how things are going, or to catch up on things. "What do you think she's doing now?"

His head tilted as her words filled his ears. Really..I don't know..She seemed pretty set on being a rogue..But I guess I'll wait and see he answered, lowering his head to graze as he plucked a few stalks of grass from the ground. Hearing her nest question, he shrugged.Don't know that either..maybe she's running somewhere...she did like to run

Serenity was silent, deep in thought. Being free from all responsibility of the herd. Doing what you want to do, when you want to do it...but the herd is safe, she thought and looked up at the sky curiously, noticing that it was starting to darken little by little.

He watched Serenity out of the corner of his eye as she looked up at the sky which was darkening. A small sigh escaped him as he snorted before looking at the white mare. What are you thinking about? he asked, the corners of his mouth lifting up in a smile.

Serenity blinked, as if out of a trance and looked at Swifthoof with a curious expression. "Huh? Oh, I was just thinking about the free lifestyle and both of its advantages and disadvantages," she answered and turned her attention to the sky again. "I can't wait until the stars come out."

Hearing her words, he nodded, grinning. True..I think nearly everything does.. he answered, keeping his brown eyes on the sky as the first star came out of hiding, twinkling in the sky. Soon, more came out, one by one, white, sparkling dots shining in the indigo sky.

Serenity watched the stars in wonder as each came out. A small smile appeared on her face as they twinkled. "They're so beautiful, and they look so small. Why do they only come out at night?"
